Animal Behavioral Analysis using AI

Animal Behavioral Analysis using AI

Participants:
Chemistry and Bioscience, ENG & Computer Science, TECH & Create, TECH & Aalborg Zoo

Purpose:
Understanding animal behavior today requires manually annotations. The aim of this Bridging project is to investigate how to develop an intelligent camera system that uses machine learning to automatically collect and analyze behavioral data of zoo animals. Such a system would revolutionize the field of animal behavior by significantly reducing the time needed to conduct behavioral studies and eliminating current biases. The starting point will be a single species e.g. tigers.
