Automatic image recognition

Purpose:

AI algorithms now have the ability to recognize content in images, e.g., whether an image contains a person, text, or landscape. Information such as this can be useful in many ways, e.g., when analyzing the content of webpages or what people post images of during major events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, we will, in this Bridging project, implement an easy-to-use image recognition framework that will directly benefit the immediate research needs of two involved research groups from HUM. The framework will allow the research groups to train and adapt the algorithm for future usage.
